The main action of brazing flux is to get rid of the film oxide on the surface of brazed metals and liquid brazing filler metals , improve its wettability to the base metal , promote the filler metals' ability to fill rapidly the brazing clearance and flow widely along the braze .The flux's melting point and the lowest temperature is a little lower than the melting temperature of brazing filler metal . In brazing , the filler metal must be melted on time as possible after the flux is melted 0,rapidly fills the clearance so that the good braze can be formed .However , the gas hole , dregs or leak may be formed in the braze if the flux is too much or the filler metal can't melt on time . |  |
